Did you know 90-95% of the time, our life is controlled by the beliefs and habits locked away in our subconscious minds? This could be unhealthy beliefs we formed as a child. Trauma we are hanging onto (remembering not all trauma is obvious). Or it can be unprocessed grief. Locked away or compartmentalised, nevertheless effecting every part of our lives. Even if we hold positive thoughts, they can have very little influence on our life because of the small 5-10% of the time we actually run with the conscious mind. This can and does have a huge impact on how we think and manage our emotions. How we relate to others. Our relationships. What triggers us. And how we react and behave.
When I embarked on my Masters in Holistic Counselling and Coaching, I never envisaged the personal growth I would undertake. I never imagined that learning so much about our physiology, psychology and the influence of our limiting belief system, would allow me to heal things, I didn’t even know required healing. Adding Emotional Mind Integration to my toolbox was a gift, enabling me to support people to release trauma, in a safe space using a very specific technique. Remembering trauma is not only the big stuff like abuse and neglect, there are also the traumas that may seem insignificant to an adult, but when we are children they can impact us enormously and remain in our subconscious.
After years of study, behind the scenes work and building experience, I can finally launch the start of my website. I’m really proud with what I’ve achieved and am honoured, humbled and blessed to be able to hold space, to support others. I chose the jellyfish as my logo because like the jellyfish we shed versions of ourselves, even though some eternal core remains. They can infinitely regenerate themselves, just as we, with the deep inner work, can transform ourselves from the inside out.
I have so many things planned this year. My first children’s book (a book to help children and their families deal with grief and loss), is currently being illustrated and I hope to be able to publish that shortly. I am busy building a course for children to support them in managing big emotions, with tools for both them and their families. And I have just commenced training to become an End of Life Doula, something I’m passionate about, as I know I can make a difference. Everyone deserves to die with dignity. But importantly I’m supporting those who are on a journey of loss and grief, or those looking to release trauma, do inner child work, or simply are stuck and overwhelmed in life. I’m here to shine the light on the darkness, for without the darkness, we have no light.
Below is the landing page to my new website, with the full website to be finalised soon.
Ram Dass really does sum it up perfectly “Together we are all on a journey called life. We are each a little broken and a little shattered inside. Each one of us aspiring to make it to the end. None is deprived of pain here and we have all suffered in our own ways. I think our journey is all about healing ourselves and healing each other in our own special ways. Let’s just help each other put all those pieces back together more beautifully”.
